Community Commitment
Greg is an award-winning educator and Business Education School Director at John F. Ross CVI. He has a passion for financial literacy and practical learning that he has demonstrated throughout his career, working to bring real-world financial education to students and developing programs that equip young people with the tools they need to succeed. His contributions to education were recognized with the Hilmer Award from the Ontario Business Educators’ Association—an honour that reflects his long-standing commitment to leadership, innovation, and community impact. Greg has always been deeply involved in the Guelph community. His experience includes: Serving as a Board Member of the Transit Alliance of Guelph, Guelph’s Transit Board, Writing for the Guelph Mercury and Metroland Media, including his Lessons in Finance series, Leading seminars for educators and speaking to young adults on financial literacy, Participating in local arts through Guelph Little Theatre, Coaching high school and community sports teams Serving a 7-year term as School Chair at Jean Little Public School. Through each of these roles, Greg has demonstrated a strong commitment to community engagement, leadership, and service. Greg and his wife Kelly are proud to call Guelph home, where they are raising their three children. He is passionate about building a community that is affordable, connected, and supportive for families, and believes that strong local leadership plays a key role in shaping that future.
